Funny Stories ›› Funny drunk stories ›› funny drunk stories 072 We put the 'Fun' in Funeral This is probably a case of 'you had to be there'. Eddie folks were gone so he had the place all to himself. The plan - get plenty of beer and get over there Saturday afternoon and take it from there. One thing about Eddie is he was really skinny and couldn't keep us with the rest of us, much as he tried. So after a few hours of drinking and clowning around, Eddie starts to get a bit droopy. Before too long he's out like a light, completely passed out. Then Max comes up with a brilliant idea - we'll have a funeral for Eddie. Paul goes home and gets a video camera and the rest of us go outside and pick as many wild flowers as we could find (we had a lot to do that day). About a half hour later Paul is back with the camera. By then we had Eddie moved to a bed and had his hands folded on his chest holding on to a bunch of flowers. We also had flowers all around him on the bed and the backboard. Then Max acted like a minister and began the funeral ceremony. He talked about Eddie's life and how he was cut down in his prime. We all knelt around the bed and made out we were crying. Then one by one we all stood up and gave a little eulogy for Eddie; occasionally asking God why he was taken from us so young and still so beautiful. Paul taped the whole thing off. We were absolutely crying laughing. It seemed like the funniest thing we ever did. Eddie found it pretty funny too when he saw it a while later. |
