At three in the morning I woke up bursting, and staggered off down this darkened corridor, wearing only goosebumps - the first door I tried was the airing cupboard, and, desperate, I crashed through the next door into the well-lit bedroom of the groom's parents! Father was poised behind mother in the classic doggy position, but nonplussed he said, "It's the next right". I stumbled out of the room, found the bathroom and returned to my bed.
In church the next day, the groom's father approached me, put his hand on my shoulder and whispered "It's the second door on the left through the vestry..." |
